Between 2001 and 2016 on the former film studio premises in the Rödelheim quarter of Frankfurt 60,000 sqm. of highly available data center space was created along with an office building and a dedicated 100 kw transformer station. This e-shelter Campus Frankfurt is the largest single data center location in Europe. It was developed by e-shelter in 2000, a former subsidiary of the Investa Real Estate. Located here today are the server farms of all the big providers of public cloud solutions, IT-outsourcing-providers and financial service companies in secure, highly available and optimally connected environments. As e-shelter’s main location, the premises offer modern office space, a modern security control center operated by e-shelter security GmbH and a conference and event center for around 100 people.
