MUNICH, Z WEST

Investa Real Estate and Baywobau will commence construction on the “Z West” project on Zschokkestrasse, located in Munich-Laim, in the spring of 2021. The preparatory demolition work for the new residential district, “Z” (“Z West” and “Z East”) has already started and completion of the project is expected in 2023, resulting in an estimated total of 300 residential units. Four buildings with a total gross floor area of approximately 28,000 m² are planned on the 10,000 m² former industrial park area. The builders of the “Z Ost” project are brothers, Markus and Nicola Ballauf (GEHO West), who will keep the buildings in “Z Ost” as apartments and rent them out. As a result, half of the planned housing units will be apartments while the other half will be divided into condominiums. The investors promise future residents “multiple meeting rooms, lots of free space and many other areas for communal use.” Specifically, the amenities that are planned include coworking space, co-living and a co-project KITA, a community library for the residents, washing and drying rooms and a community workshop.
